We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking summer camp staff for our UK-based summer camps for international teenagers.
As a member of our teaching staff you will be required to teach English to international children, run and supervise sporting and non-sporting activities and assist in a variety of welfare duties.
No previous experience in EFL teaching is required as we provide lesson plans, training and onsite support. Our English lessons are more practical than written and an English lesson could consist of making a film, putting on a fashion show or walking into town to have tea. Our clients are aware than our teachers are not qualified TEFL teachers and are instead enthusiastic, fun and enjoy working with children.
In the afternoons and evenings you will be required to assist in activities organised by our directors. These range from football to dance, talent shows to discos, swimming to origami and quizzes to bingo. You will be assigned to activities based on your own experiences and interests.
The children have two excursions a week which you will be required to assist on. These are a good opportunity for the children (and you) to see various attractions across the UK.
Our camps are all residential for both staff and students. You will therefore be required to assist in residential duties such as helping to withhold the children’s curfew.
We endeavour to give all our staff one day off per week and one session off per day.
We have various start dates throughout July with contracts running from 2 – 6 weeks at 10 different locations across the UK.
We do not pretend that this is an easy job, and the hours are long, but it is a wonderful opportunity to have a different kind of summer job where you can meet people from all over the world and genuinely make lifelong friends.
