Overview

The role of Activity Leader is an important one, directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of overseas junior students. This requires the post-holder to lead a full range of activities and excursions both on and off site. Activity Leaders will also conduct airport transfers and offer constructive support as required to all aspects of the summer school operation.

The Activity Leader will be enthusiastic, responsible and outgoing. We need our Activity Leaders to be confident and effective in their communication with others. We aim for all our Activity Leaders to have as much fun as possible with students whilst always acting with high regard for the rules and policies of LAL and maintaining discipline throughout the course.

Hours of Work/Contract Type:
Your normal hours of work are 48 per week over a six day week. You may be required to work additional hours when requested to meet the needs of the business. This position involves working on weekends and other unsocial hours.

Remuneration:
From £250 to £390 per week

Qualifications
Essential
Educated to GCSE standard (5 A*-C grades – including English and Maths) or equivalent
Very good level of spoken and written English (CEFR  B2 minimum, e.g. FCE/IELTS 5-6.5)

Desirable
NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Educated to A Level standard
Good knowledge of the local area and/or experience of leading cultural tours
Driving license
